While society reveres the flawless complexion of youth, the thoughtful viewer will detect far greater beauty in the lines and creases that develop in our faces over time.
An early cheesecloth piece made in 2011, “Musing” appeared on Quilting Arts TV, and in numerous exhibitions, from Sacred Threads, to the La Conner Quilt Museum, Fibre Content in 2012, and Metaphors on Aging, a travelling exhibition that premiered at the Birmingham Festival of Quilts in 2013 and toured worldwide until 2015.
